Nice Bug. I like the first one the best. Those nails are older than you.  :devil Mid to late 1800s I think, and what did they come out of? They don't come out of anything very easy!  :devil

We still use this kind of nails in Transylvania for horseshoes , Yep, nice shots Bug, i like #1 also, looks hdr ,nice composition  :aok!

I didn't know they even made anything like those still. I had an old historic house built in the 1860s. Had nails just like that, although don't know if they were original or added later.   :cheers:

Thanks guys that first one is my favorite so far.  As for the nails I have no idea how old they are.  I have a tub of them that were here when I bought the house.  My house was built in 1893 for the town blacksmith, and I know similar nails were used in its construction, so they could be from back then.  Or they could just be from a little over 20 years ago.

Yes, that is a fox kit.  Sorry not the best shot. They are not the most cooperative subject.  They (at least 5 in the litter) just started coming out of the den within the last couple of days and they only come out when a parent is there.  The parents won't come around if I'm down there so I have to wait till I see them at the den and the kits are out then walk down and get a quick shot of the boldest ones.  Hopefully they start coming out on their own soon and I can get some better shots.  Every litter is different, every kit actually, on how close they will let you come.  In some years my daughter had to dump the kits out of the horse grain tubs because they wouldn't move.  Other years they want nothing to do with ya.  Always fun to watch them each year, for that short window before they head out with the parents.
