Nice car except its a dodge. I can't wait to face off with one and send the driver home embarrassed
I was never embarrassed losing in my Challenger....never....it did happen 3 times that I recall......1 to a benz and twice to other MOPARS just like flying in AH(except for the horrible crash and burn if you screw up) racing is against the other driver not so much the car.
I never understood brand loyalty.
Does it still corner like a parade float? Wallow through the twistys like finding your favorite spot in a recliner? Very nice car, very fast, same with others mentioned, I just don't get the fascination with going in a straight line and truly would not want one and would sell it if I won one.
Just in case you dint know a Challenger won the current T/A series defeating Mustangs and Camaros. So ya...obviously they can corner You'll also notice the Challenger is in more commercials and series then either Mustang or Camaro.HEMI.....known world wide. Always has been a winner. Always will be.
Only true test is having all three cars drove straight from factory, and put onto track with same driver and raced multiple times. ANY modifications or different driver will void the test results
Stock Challenger/Mustang/Camaro cannot be compared to those T/A series cars. No way, no how. Having driven a souped up Roush Challenger T/A, I was not a fan of the understeer. But since we're now peddling a "forced to buy an automatic" Charger. No thanks. They will end up being mall crawlers.
This probably deserves a thread of its own, but the new Shelby 350R Mustang just set a record going around the Nurburgring, beating the previously held record for an American made factory "muscle" car by 5 seconds, (Z28).
Somewhere I saw video of a race between a Challenger Hellcat and the C7 Z06. The Corvette was faster off the line (mainly because the Hellcat spun a bit before it got traction), but the Hellcat still beat it in the quarter mile. And NOT by a narrow margin, either. That seems to be the biggest complain I've read about the Hellcat; it's tricky to get rolling because it likes to spin its tires even with a light foot on the gas.
