Haven't tried this as I don't currently need a copy, but they have pretty good reviews.

Usually an unusually cheap OS means it's not legit unless the offer comes directly from Microsoft. Some companies resell unlocked OEM codes from scrapped computers for example. They 'work' but it's against the EULA. So buyer beware.

Ripley is quite correct.  Microsoft controls the pricing of their operating system and they never reduce the price for anyone.

Depends on what you mean by cheap. Microsoft has had student prices for quite a long time for most of their newest stuff including the OS: http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/en_US/pdp/Windows-8.1-Pro-for-Students/productID.288769600

Unfortunately it's always for the newest items, so this unbelievably low price is yesterday's news: http://www.pcworld.com/article/201709/Get_Windows_7_Professional_for_29__If_Youre_a_Student.html

I bought Win8 for 15 euros, but that offer was directly from Microsoft. Most websites that sell incredibly cheap licenses are not legit.

As you may have noticed my first link was also directly to Microsoft and the second one was referring to them. Again unfortunately their bargains are only valid for certain groups in the USA, not worldwide.

My last "cheap" windows OS install came from a university bookstore about 10 yrs ago.  I picked up winXP, some server variants, and a developers kit including all their visual studio products for about $99.  I haven't seen anything like that ever since.
Everyone I know, goes away, in the end.

Let me add this. I bought windows 7 from NewEgg, not sure if it was a 3rd party or not. When I installed MS had to install a certificate, DigCert, and that has been a pain in the rear. Every time I open Outlook I have to decide to install the certificate and I can't get rid of it. If you buy an OS buy it direct from MS.

This worked absolutely flawlessly on first attempt. Installed it on a friends laptop. just followed directions as stated. $59.00. use at your own risk though.

If the certificates do nto work you probably have a pirated copy.

I'm a Microsoft Partner, too. Many crapware companies claim that, too. All it took to get the partnership was to have a Microsoft i.e. a Hotmail account and a minute to fill in the form.

So are all microsoft "partners" crap companies?

The constant unfounded negativity of forums I find astounding. Just trying to help people out. Time to quit posting.

5 negative reviews out of thousands of downloads. You can find negativity on virtually every business if you dig enough as I have provided of your evidence. I also don't think the sample pool you used is truly indicative of the company.
