Great stuff, keep it coming! I'm especially interested in the squads with active web sites.
When I started in WarBirds back in '98, squad websites were the squad's public face - a way to communicate to the world what your squad was about, who was in it, etc. The squads blessed with able communications officers (web guys) often had their own BB built into the website. AH's own BB supported squad BBs sortof supplanted that function, and squad websites became less useful. Alot of really nice squad websites are now gone. I remember the Screamin' Blue Messiah's site looked like it was made by someone with a flair for graphic design. And remember the Swamp Foxes? Their website was set up like a virtual office and you would open doors or click on desk drawers to enter the different pages of the site.
Brooke, thank for posting that historical document! Almost 2000 pages of callsigns! That is very interesting to look through. I like the idea of AW's "tail number" - was that a numerical ID assigned to players? Some of the callsigns looked too long to display online as a handle.
