That is interesting idea and would well be worth a wish.

The check 6 is a single file so you can not have multiple sounds for the check 6.  However, you could record your own sound for that file.  It would be a pain to change it for each plane unless you used the same plane for a session or so.

I do.  I think I have tried them all.  Currently using Sick Puppy's which I think is the best P-38 sounds.

Can the check 6 be assigned to each planes folder?  Is that the point?

My P38 sound has not only a real P-38 engine/prop/supercharger sound, but the turbo-supercharger sound also. I do not believe that the P-38s flying today have active turbochargers. Turbochargers on this aircraft quite often failed, caused fires and so on, which is why most long-range PR flights in the LW period were flown with Spit XIVs.

To answer the OP, I have also got Check 6 sounds in original language to some degree. All you need is one, and then to copy that to each folder of aircraft/vehicle that uses that as a native language.

For the AHIII SPSP I will be adding a few more details and handle the Check6 files (and others) a little differently.
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

This is why I asked if you used sound packs. It's completely inaccurate. If you knew how they worked you'd know you can in fact have a different check 6 (or any other sound for that matter) for each plane. The game will use the default sound but will look for a sound in a folder for a given plane and will use that instead if there is one. All that's required is a folder within the sounds folder for the plane with the sounds you want to use. They have to be in the right format and have the proper name. The game will use those sounds for that plane. If there isn't a sound in the folder, it uses the default. I like a particular stall sound so I don't use any of the pack stall sounds. The game now only uses the one stall sound for all planes.

It's a great system and highly customizable. That's how we're able to even have sound packs.

Since mine are all mixed up I don't remember which pack they came from but my check 6, base under attack, etc., sounds are in whatever language the aircraft is. Haven't tweaked my sounds in a long while. I just copy them over when needed.

The best I cam do then is not answer anyone's questions.  Being wrong is just unacceptable to some.

I wouldn't say that. I'd say that if you're gonna help someone else in the game that's great! I hope I've done that with you.

I would say, that if you're gonna do the best you can do, that would be to have some idea of the correct answer yourself before turning someone else in the wrong direction. I was trying to straighten that out is all.

All flying 38's Use superchargers.  The last time Leftys 38 crashed was due to a supercharger fire.
Allisons are very tame without them.

Fruda's P-38 sounds are much better.
