I had a user once that was wireless to a access point, and the access point was wireless to a tower 3 miles away. suddenly she lost her vpn and her internet connection... as my colleagues listened to me talk to her, I told her there was a bad solar flare today. I said to find someone who's house had regular cable and go work there for the day. she did. I told her the next day it would be fine and she could work from home.
   as I hung up my colleagues went into total hysterics telling me that they couldn't believe I got away with that lie... I told them I wasn't lying. the next day she was fine.... people really don't believe that solar flares affect wireless.... just funny sometimes. to this day they think im full of S... crap!
