Here is a sneak shot of the current state of the Alpha cockpits, compared to the current game cockpits.  This is the Hurricane.

I realize my question might sound bad ... what is the difference? Im sure there's a million of little things but I can't see anything obvious. :embarrassed:

Shadows caught my attention, the alpha looks more realistic a little bit rougher/gritter (realistic wornout-type look).

I like it. :cool:

Alpha not so "monotone"? Seems to be be a bit more contrasting colors in the aplha model. Maybe I'm not sayin it right. Seems easier on the eyes at first glance.

The "new" cockpit looks softer.  It's not as sharp and most noticeably, isn't beating my head in with white. :)

Everything about this looks really good, especially the bright white needles which were always so grating. the new lighting is so promising.  The picture shows off the advantages of the increased elevation resolution as well.
The new release is starting to look pretty nice.

Oh yeah.  I really like how the sky looks. :aok  For me, it's the white in the cockpit being toned down that drew my attention right away.  It looks a LOT better and is easier on the eyes. :)


Skuzzy, is the top image set with AH at maximum graphics?

It does kind of look like self-shadow is off in the 'current one' although I'm not sure if that's just because the shadowing is better in the alpha and more is picked up...?

Gotcha, I thought the dark cockpit was because of the sun position.

The white toned down and the gauges looking like they are glass covered (look at the fuel) are what caught my eye.

Slash the top one is the current Huricane and teh bottom is with the AH3 settings..
