I'd bet good money that Fess could take you apart in a DA bout.

Well he never has so.....

;) not that we'd ever know. Seems you would be afraid of your own shadow in the DA.

Waste of time.  Fess beats me repeatedly in the only place that counts: the MA.  Just like I do with Junky.

It can be argued that the MA is where it counts the least :old:

Let's be honest.  None of it counts for pizz.  However, it's great fun to fight and even more fun to back up your noise.  Egos and dust, egos and dust lol

Combat Challenge is a fun competition for me, but really none of it matters since I don't play this video game to seriously become the best virtual pilot I can be. I do feel that this game can become more enjoyable once you've reached a certain skill level, but when you get as good as someone like Grizz it has to end up feeling more like a job at that point.

I always joked I'd like to see a well rounded pilot. For example I've landed over 15 in a scenario, more then 9 in an FSO on multiple occassions, over 9 in Snapshots and over 100 in the Main Arena.
Anyone can land 10 if they wanted all day long; but to be able to do it in scenarios/snapshots/fso's each week and almost every week is where it counts.

(my proudest is 9 in a Hurricane during BoB, my least is around 20 in a 262 during a scenario).

Absolutely not.
Most MA players would like to.

Butcher is right. If you wanted to, you can land 10 kills all day. Most people though just say "It's not possible, I'm not good enough" and leave it at that. They are right though, they aren't good enough... yet, but if you really try hard enough at something and really put your mind to it you can achieve absolutely anything. Most people don't do this though because they either just don't have the free time to put forth such effort or they're lazy and don't want to put forth the effort.

If you really wanted to, anyone can land 10 kills all day in the MA. The only limiting factor is yourself (and running out of planes to kill :)  )

I can see why you say that, considering the 7:1 career kill ratio I have over you in the MA.  :rofl

I would also agree that the MA matters the least. You have people to bail you out if you're getting your arse handed to you, you have people to help you avoid that in the first place, etc.

Basically, almost every aspect of the MA mitigates the importance your own personal skill at defeating an enemy on your own through maneuvering with the immediate goal of acquiring a gun solution.

"If you really wanted to..."

Thats a key statement when discussing landing 10+ kill sorties. My idea of fun gameplay isn't conducive to getting that many in one sortie or getting home that often. And, when I do get home the plane is usually missing too many parts to be worth re-arming.  If their are 200 guys playing, there are 200 different approaches to the game.
