I know, wrong forum- but the DX8 beta forum is so screwed up, I would of found the answer there had it not been completely clusterf***ed.

I need the link to the control panel applet for DX8.0 to turn off the debug settings for the DirectSound.

This is for a squaddie of mine, could you also post the directions to turn off the debug settings since I will be unable to guide him through it when he reads this thread...

DO I just put this file in the windows/system directory? Or is there something else I have to do? Thanks Wulfe/flak

Put it in C:\windows\system

And it will appear next time you open your control panel.

Or you can get it at www.reddragons.de/dxapplet.zip

unzip the file to C:\windows\system

Then goto
Control Panel and open DirectX.
Once there Hit the DirectSound tab.
On the DirectSound tab in the upper left corner there is DEBUG OUTPUT LEVEL move the slider to the full left.
