At the start of the planning I had wished for FW-190 A-6s with the 2X15MM guns in the cowl

The A-6 were equipped with 7,92mm MG 17 in the cowl, no FW 190A ever carried anything bigger than a MG 131 in that place  :old:

true but A6 had 4*20mm mg151  instead of 2*20mm ff and 2*151 mg 20mm
My ammo last for 6 Lancasters, or one Yak3.

LW guys did a great job. I know your numbers were a bit low for pilots but you guys did one hell of a job! You all deserve pats on the back for it!

Sorry  you are right, The A-7 started getting delivered in October 43 and it had the 13MM guns in the cowl.

If I remember right the bright Idea to go to england started on command coms and bled off into the tower

and that wasnt the only new guy. I got "given" lol a guy who just logged on for the FIRST time his first sortie in a big fat slow 110 and even managed a kill!! the sign guy I was so proud of him he was over whelmed to say the least.

Ditto It was a privlege to serve under you as a CO we all had difficult jobs and complete chaos going on. I had 2 team speaks chnl 150 range and my groups vox it was a nightmare but well worth every second. As a B38 pilot and overall allied guy I would gladly fly under you, ROC Fudgums and Devil again it was my best AH experience <S> 49Boob/49ELTOWN

Thanks JVBoob, it was great to have you along for the ride.
I wish I had a recording of the giggling that turned into hilarity as the discussion of attacking England grew from a joke to reality, that was funny as hell.
