Film Viewer - Crash by Executing from Windows Explorer
« on: September 22, 2015, 10:26:42 AM »
For me this began in Patch 74.

When I double click on a film file from Explorer:

The film viewer software executes but when it tries to load the file I get "AHFilm.exe has stopped working".

However.  When I bring up the film viewer first, then load a film via the film viewer program, all is well.

I verified that the file type was pointing to the alpha film viewer.  This seem sufficiently weird to warrant a report.

Which "ahfilm.exe" is the *.ahf Windows file association linked to?  AH2 or AH3?

I verified that it was aimed at AH3.  It's on a separate drive.

But I will double check...

...Back.

I right-clicked on a film in the AH3 films directory.  Selected 'Open With'.  Browsed to the AH3 directory.  Selected the film viewer (new icon).

Tested.  Still fails on load.  Still works with Viewer up and the manual file load from the viewer.
