Here's a glimpse of the action in Frame 3 of the recent Battle Of Britain FSO.

JG11 escorted an attack on Westhampnett by the Heinkels of G3-MF and 353rd FG. The RAF showed up in some numbers to contend. Mayhem ensued...

(Image removed from quote.)

(Although icons in the AH film viewer show at long ranges, while the frame is playing we have icons limited to 3.0k.)

haha look at me up there diving on that Spit.

Fly FSO for the best fights in the Game.

I've been in and out of the game several times since early beta. I'm hooked up for FSO now and it is keeping my interest for sure. I have been a fan since the mid 50"s of WW2 aviation and FSO replicates the realities of it better than anything I've seen. The MA became just a place to familiarize with the ride I will fly on Friday!

There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

You guys need a registration page kind of like the ones used for scenarios.

You could list all the squads, the members and if there are openings.  Update it weekly.

I suspect FSO is a lot like scenarios.  I've pretty much stopped playing in the MA simply biding my time between scenarios (I still play an hour or two in the MA every month or two).  I've never flown in FSO because I've never been in a squad.  I've been invited but it's never worked out (my fault).

Anyway, for loners like me it would be nice to see who's in the squads and if there's an opening then I could make a decision if it looked like I could get into a group I'd like to fly with.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

Make a post on the FSO BBS and I am sure you can try out a few different squads BaldEagle. We do not have a Scenario style registration. We register squads not individual players for reasons of playability as we run one event every month. Doing reg individually is just too time intensive and impractical for weekly frames. So get in contact with an FSO squad and see who will take you. You can try a few until you click with somebody. Cheers.

PM me for a spot with the 412th. We got a great group of guys and girls.

FSO is the best part of the game.   :rock

1 life event.  3 Friday's a month. Epic 30+ player vs 30+ player battles.  Cool new maps that are not used in the MA. Based on actual WW2 battles. Tons of fun.  Register your squad today or join an existing squad.  There are several squads who would like to have an additional pilot or two.  Do whatever it takes to join the fun... you won't be disappointed. :joystick:

Here is a video of a recent FSO event.  Join up!! :airplane:

You can fly with the 111's as well. Smaller squadron but less of a time commitment. PM if interested.

Hiya all, I just recently returned to AH after an extended
absence. I will return to FSO when I get up to speed
(not that I was burn'in up FSO before).
I always enjoyed being canon fodder for ya'll  :joystick:

I just recently came back to fly after about a decade off. Rusty as heck and the 412th welcomed me in and and helped me get up to speed.  :airplane:

Great bunch of folks and VERY fun!!  Really enjoying it.  I really look forward to seriously-late-at-night Friday nights!  Totally worth staying up for.

That's 03:00 ZULU on Saturday for all the aviation and military folks in the audience.   ;)

Finally! Being in the Euro time-zone, I always have to figure this out from EST, PST, etc. and with the difference in DST transition (we go this weekend) it gets messy. Much easier if we use GMT! In fact, the clocks in the towers in AH should show Z time, too.

So, for anyone in European central time - 0500.

I won't even mention the constant discussion with Frenchies as to whether it should be GMT or UTC  :bolt:

Thanks to Nefarious and the 412th for letting me fly with them last night.  I chose the 412th because Nef had invited me a year or two ago but it never worked out.

It was fun but I was disappointed with myself.  After not really playing for a couple of months I expected to be rusty.  That wasn't really the case but I got target fixated on a Hurri and just couldn't let him go despite knowing I had a con closing on my six.

I might try to hook up with you guys again or with another squad for November (my two favorite planes; Spit IX's and 190A-8's :)) and give it another go.  I know I can do better and hopefully, like scenarios, I'll improve frame by frame as I get settled in.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.
