For the record, 100K equals 3 formations of Lancasters or 2 formations of B-29 (with the 40x500lb loadout).

From personal experience the 40x500lb loadout for the b29 vs. HQ is inadvisable, it just takes too long for the bombs to leave the aircraft. So 4x4000lbs or 8x2000lbs loadout will still need 3 sets of b29s. Which is great IMO, as there is no more lone wolf HQ knockouts. -  <S> Hetz

With the 4x4000lb loadout you would need 4 sets, as a 4k HC bomb only does about 2344lb of damage.
With the 8x2000lb loadout, you need 3 sets indeed.

49Dallas has a valid point; now that the HQ damage has been increased, perhaps the HQ downtime should revert back to the way it was. The sneaky lone wolf bomber is eliminated so its gonna take a raid to do it. Make it worthwile. Meanwhile defenders will more likely up and make it a good show, so to speak.

The damage increase was THE best solution to the HQ controversy. It shifts a bit more emphasis on the strategic game<S>

No.  The city can be hit first and exponentially increase the HQ down time so the strategy is already in place to make it fun.

Lets see how the greifers take this challenge.

1. - At least one of them knows the City controls the HQ rebuild time. 5 min in that case has been a formality until now.
2. - Late nights at least one of them can afford B29 and the time to fly around which I have observed.
3. - The 49th as fun police in chief these days will have to try at least once with the formula Lusche laid out. Hitech has challenged the Balrog.
4. - Chances are their attempt will be preceded with an increased amount of activity mounted against a City so if they do succeed in dropping the HQ it makes a BIG IMPRESSION time wise.
5. - Keeping a City at 0% all night is not as immediately satisfying as dropping the HQ all night. The effect on the game can be argued to have a stronger effect over time, but most of us just ignore it. The HQ is the key to our collective happiness visa direct impact on our fun.

So an HQ raid now will be kind of obvious, and we know what they will have to bring to the game to succeed. Hope a lot of you guys have 163 perks.

2 Sets of B29s cant do it unless you slowed way down (200mph maybe) and made 2 passes, which is plausible I guess

Or, on the Fester map if they take the airfield closest to the City like the bish seem to do. Low level bomber free kills for conventional aircraft. Or something to do with a gazillion 262 perks.

Resupplying the city
- usually takes incredibly high effort, much more than resupplying a HQ directly
- and has no effect on a dropped HQ at all.
