Acceptable game play
« on: October 23, 2015, 06:42:58 AM »
We all seen the video where Skyyr was using a shade account to locate and pass information of the enemy's location.

We all know that this form of cheating exists, but there he was.....caught on a flight recording, and posted online for the whole community to witness.

Yesterday, Skyrr was back online and talking smack on Ch200. Last I heard, he was supposed to be banned from the game.

Well....one week later, he is back in the game.

Sorry, I am a little confused as to how someone can get caught cheating, and then be permitted to continue to play. Sad enough that someone feels the need to cheat, thus robbing us honest players of fair game play.......but for him to be permitted back, in such a short time....makes me wonder why I spend my hard earned $$$ to take part in a simulation, where this kind of activity (cheating) will not result in the termination of your account.

Not sure how others feel........but after belonging to this game for 15 years, I am seriously considering leaving the game. It is absolutely NO FUN to see people blatantly abusing user accounts to gain an advantage.......and for the company I pay $$$ to, not to step in and do what is right.

Maybe that explains it, as it make zero sense to me that Hitech Creations would entertain this.

It was a shade.

 :O

Here is a solution to shade accounts.

Same IP address = Accounts can only play in the same country.

That would only stop internet-illerate pilots. You can use a span of tools
to get another external ip-address for the machine next to you.

I have always come back to this game because compared to other cheating is very rare. I thought HT has always done a excellent job with stopping any forms of cheating and that person is out for good. Bad apples only hurt our game and should be thrown out with the trash.

Whoa, whoa, and whoa... what about my plan to set up a virtual flight arena?  Basically, using an identical hardware station as my primary and with a second subscription, I'm setting up a place in my house where I and a friend can go fight in the DA from the same room and through the same router. That's legit - and should be damn good fun once I go get my bits and pieces to do it.

I'm thinking I'd run afoul of the single IP rule because my router would show two active users on the same IP.

-1 on the single IP/single user idea.

As for this Skyyr cheats thing, was this the source of the online rumor last week that he was gone? I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for confirmation.

And, of course IN before the lock...
