Henry vs a big ten run defense  :headscratch: oh baby, here we go again.

Whatever the scoreboard displays at the end of the game, Henry will get his yards.  It will be interesting to see the Henry/MichSt matchup if it's a little ten team vs Bama.

OK, here it is.

UNC and Florida crush the opposition, Iowa and MSU go to 4 overtimes with MSU in the end winning it by 1 point with amazing, astonishingly excellent play by both teams, and the playoffs include three Big 10 teams:  MSU, Ohio State, *and* Iowa.

It could happen.  By the laws of quantum mechanics, the probability of that is not exactly zero.  I can see it.  Can you see it?  :)

I gave OSU the respect they deserved before the game and more importantly, after the game. They were the best team on the field that day

OSU's defense had no answer to Derrick Henry in the Sugar Bowl last year. If Lane Kiffin had called more plays to run Henry, then I suspect Alabama would have bested us in that game. I understand they wanted to mix it up a bit on offense, but if a player is really hot, why put out the fire?

They had no answer???   Who won???   What were you smoking when watching the game.  Oh and I might add the prestige of the SEC has fallen somewhat and many College experts agree that now the BIG is the best conference.  How many SEC in the top 6?   Top 15?

As I always said things swing in cycles.  No one conference will dominate all the time.  Over time everyone gets a shot.  OSU lost to Michigan State, Ala. lost to Ole Miss.

Where's Ole Miss in the rankings?  The discussion can never be settled or won.  Just enjoy College football for what it is.  Better then the NFL imho.

Wasn't smoking anything. Proof is in the film.

Re-watch the Sugar Bowl game and observe the limited number of plays called where Derrick Henry carried the ball. When he did, he ran for large chunks of yards, breaking arm-tackles and making defenders miss. For every carry Henry had, it was a sure bet that Bama would pick up about 6-8 yards. The kid is a stud at getting yards after contact.

One can only speculate what the outcome of the game would have been like had Kiffin ran Henry more. Bama's best shot at beating OSU in that game was to keep handing the ball to their monster of a running back.

Doesn't really matter now. The Bucks won that game and that's what makes our CFP title run all the more special.

I can't pull for the rest of the SEC arbitrarily. I am a Bama fan, and that's where my fandom stops.  There are some SEC teams pull for over an OOC opponent though

Agree on the Henry thing as his YPC were good, while the three picks and horrible third down conversions (want to say they were around 2 for 13) are what really hurt Bama.    The rub is that OSU had an even better running game with Elliot, a superior third down conversion rate and less turnovers.   I get what you're saying, but I want to say that the carries were around a +/- of 10 (almost even), with the yardage gained being about 100+.   I just didn't see Henry making up that much on less than 10 carries is all.

OSU had a well balanced team, which is why they won.   Definitely a great run you guys have had.
