Molsman,
I think that you ALL are on to something. I went silent on the responses to the all of the notifications of the losses of some very dear community members. Pretty much having that same feeling that this is all to soon and frequent, I was beginning to feel speechless.
Zack's sentiment, is sort of like the ritual pouring of a capful of booze to be shared by buddies in remembrance of a missing member of the group, to carry on in the spirit that they would surely have us enjoy life as they did.
Flossy certainly shares the experience of a number of those (myself included) that often are not available for scheduled memorials due to time zones and commitments.
Together with Molsman's idea of celebrating the joy all of these good people have brought to the community,
I would prefer an EVENT. Possibly even something new, like an event
Olympics combining King of The Hill,
Red Bull Race,
Furball Lake, and
TankTown Mega Battle all held
simultaneously on a modified Dueling Arena map or some other facsimile of gathering to memorialize veterans of the game no longer with us.
Could go like this: King of the Hill begins 1st round as folks are being picked off one by one they have options to join the mega TankTown battle while waiting for the results of the round to conclude. The same with Red Bull Race event. There could be several events that could be dedicated to past members or not.
You know, anything that could give it a carnival atmosphere, while saluting our buds who will forever be inbedded in our hearts. "Announcement: 10 minutes until the 'Heeler Memorial M3 City Rally Race,' participants meet at North spawn of A24"
