All I need is a list of names Brutha.  I'll make something special.  If we can get pics of them, I can add them in also, on the sides of buildings & such. :salute

That would be cool ranger I will be in touch with you

Careful.  Someone's going to take it badly if you miss someone and it can easily be done.

How far back do you go?  For a lot of us that's the beginning of AW but putting that list together would be almost impossible I'd guess.  Regardless I'm guessing you're going to have to solicit and get a very large scale community interaction of not just current but also former players.

Given the logistical difficulties you may be better off keeping it a generic event.  In fact, you could then open it up to not just those who have passed but also to those who have left for one reason or another, many of whom I miss most.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

Okay 32 Views and Vet Players do not even have a thought about this Tributes to all the fallen AH players from the pat year???????

this is very Sad
sorry Molsman, i really dont have the spirit to grieve over players. its in defense of my spirit to wall up. my family, 17 yr old niece, 12 yr old cousin, my dad,my stepdad 2 other cousins and 2 close friends have all died in recent yrs and its tore me and my family to shreds. AH is an escape for me. when we did the CPTDELL memorial flight. it broke me, so i try to avoid these things like the plague. its just too much for me, im weak in that way. sorry

I am sorry if I was harsh that night I know the feeling and that is how I treat this game also an escape but I was just trying to get ideals and all on how to go about this and not just make it where we fly around I was thinking of more like mini battles on the areas of the game these players enjoyed while here with us

Molsman I think your idea is a good one but also as Fugitive said many people grieve in different ways. The 365th FBG Hell Hawks has always held a Memorial Flight for our fallen brothers of AHII and we will be having one for Heeler, it's in the planning stage as I write this but a few weeks down the road as his final arrangements are not complete yet.

Mols, you're a good soul.

If I haven't missed just let us know when. We have lost so many here lately. Some just amazing people.

ja mols I'm up for this. If it comes to pass keep chating it up so I can be there. I work 2nd shift so make it late, like midnight.

Life is short, and the losses keep mounting.

When we would do memorial services for military families, we would have an open mic for those we may have missed. Even if we don't have them all right away, over time we can accumulated them. I like the idea and am willing to help.

When I learned Hooter had stop coming on; I assumed the worse - he once had cancer and I heard it might of came back. I lost all interest in playing after losing my tanking buddy. We'd sit around spawns for hours; while most cried "campers!!" we'd just sit and have conversations for hours. I tried and tried to push myself to come back; unfortunately I just don't have the heart for it.

I'm not dead. but if you want retired players my last flight time logged in Aces High was at the beginning of September 2013. I have kept an active account since AH Beta around 1999 but have not logged any flight time in over two years.

I had hoped to keep my account active forever but with my wife pregnant with our second child coming in just over two months and the struggle to even keep the bills paid as it is I am afraid that I might lose my ability to keep my account going even while I am inactive so that would pretty much be the end of even the possibility of me returning to fly in the Aces High skies when I got the AH bug again as my handle, perk points and achievements would all be lost and it just wouldn't be the same after that.

I'm not sure what will happen but when a definitive end of something could be near you look back on things and try to think about the good times you had and the friends you made and the stuff you did or wanted to do.

but for the purpose of this thread...

I think you would probably be better off remembering those who lost their lives instead of retired though. The rest of us just faded away.

Whels would be on that list. there are some others as well.

I remember someone had put up a nice web page table with links to the announcement threads for each person. I can't remember who did it or where it was I'll see if I can't find it if they don't post here.
