Keep in mind this is still alpha testing.  Experimenting is part of that testing.

One point I would like to add is the amount of detail in the planes even is AH2 cannot be appreciated until you fly very close to another plane.  My squad mate and I often take off together in attack missions in close formation.  Wow!

Last time I tried the Alpha I had to turn all the eye candy off to get a decent frame rate, so it didn't look any better (maybe worse) than AH2.

Hoping for significantly improved frame rates when AH3 becomes mandatory.  Until then, I'll enjoy the nice smooth gameplay I get with AH2 (which is way more important to me than eye candy).  Of course, I thought Air Warrior was incredibly fun so I guess I'm not real demanding when it comes to graphics...

It's a whole new game engine, think AH1 to AH2 kind of new

It's not bad at all, BUT....it is more than my rig can handle ATM.

did you actually launch it? the new engine makes better use of vidéo card power and on some configurations you could se actual improvment

FLS thank you for the vids!  Im not as in toich as I used to be cant wait to get home and dl this!  Hopefully my new system runs the graffix....it should:). All I can say is wow!

A month ago, I couldn't run it at all, too choppy, FR was crap with all eye candy turned off.  Ya, looked worse than current AH.  Tried a week or two ago, and saw big improvement.

Could i get some clarification, this downloading the alpha and installing will enhance the graffix...among other things aswell im sure and still allow you to fly in the MA or is this a seperate testing serving?

The Alpha does not interfere with AH2, at all.  It installs in its own directory, and uses a different sets of servers.

It would probably benefit HTC testing if you provide the specs of your rig.

I downloaded. What all can I do to help? Like up fly play around see what is bad n stuff?
