Why you laughing? He's serious. When you sit on the carrier, just nudge your throttle ever slow slightly, the forward motion/breeze from the CV will push you slowly backwards.

I'm laughing because I know of no one who would "turn around on a CV", except the OP.   Drop flaps, barely hit throttle.

I only fly P-38s and this is how my throttle is mapped.
Cutting one engine "seems" to help in a hammerhead turn, but then I could be imagining it.

For everything else I use Voice Attack. An $18.00 VOX command program.
I have 61 commands, so far, for everything I use; changing salvos, comms, move, locate, etc.

I only use my keyboard for typing messages.

I tried voice command software. Found to much cross talk would interfere. Or my com chat would get voice commands..................... ...

That's a good CV point. Another point made here in the P-38 thread is that the P-38 can pivot nicely on it's wheels.

ANY of the planes pivot nicely using brakes. Point you missed was why would you do that on a CV? Do you?

The single engine planes don't pivot as well.

Point being, I started thread to get 38 drivers pov on use of controller. Ultimately "multiple" posts about doing circles on a CV's deck is less than helpful...................... .......................

I've completed the mechanical portion of the throttle unit build, its ready for the electronics.

Any 38 drivers with controller pointer or tips, please chime up.
