Some of the info on this incident is covered in the book "Blind Man's Bluff", an excellent book on various submarine activities.  It isn't referred to as "k-129" in the book, but is in Chapter 4:  Velvet Fist.
That reminds me, the USS Jimmy Carter was awarded a presidential unit citation in 2012.

Holy crap! I was trailing this sub trying to get as close as I could because I wanted to try out the photonics mast on a submerged contact. Not sure if he heard me or what but he did a crazy ivan 180 degrees and almost collided with me. This is him going over me at 1 power magnification. That was awesome.

After years of having this game I'm finally starting to get the hang of the fine art of shadowing. It's exciting and I don't care that you terds don't care. Here's another clueless enemy sub on the HF sonar.

That is offensive!  It's "turds" not "terds"!

What does K-129, FOIA (The Freedom of Information Act) and Gomar have to do with each other?

Hint:  you hear this phrase a lot.
