The author makes a great case AGAINST any attempt to ban these. They're obviously unshootable and far more dangerous to the shooter than anyone else.   :rofl

Lots of words have been hijacked and are used to mean something completely different from (and sometimes opposite to) the correct original meaning.

Thank you for a reasoned and sensible proposition Brooke. So shines a good deed in this weary forum. I'm sure this is the case here. Seems ironic to the point of astonishment that a culture would object to progression while at the same time benefitting directly form it, even the glaring example of the very rifle that's being discussed in this thread.

Ah name-calling. Well Lassie, if it's your core belief and go-to stratergy is that anyone that differs in opinion with you is in denial, deluded or misguided then your position (whatever it is) isn't really of any logical or rigorous value at all now is it?

I am sorry

skippy is NOT name calling. It is like Dude or bud or buddy or mate,  I am sorry  and meant no derogatory meaning of it.

Crikey, I was anticipating a fuss of enormous magnitude. I looked up Skippy on an urban dictionary and found a definition which read "Any misguided individual who is in blatant denial and/or so completely deluded as to be completely beyond reasoning with. Sometimes used to address just any hapless individual" and given the context...

Very civilised of you but no need to apologise, just a misunderstaning in the context of a forum where things go south more rapidly than a P-51D co alt with a Spitfire.  :salute

I like to discuss things and provoke thought. Probably should find another forum really  :rofl

I am a technical Educator and have 30 students every 3 weeks.. I have given up trying to learn names, so I use that on a daily basis.

I also use Sparky, dude, dudette and even dumb bellybutton on occasion when action warrants it.
