"Update: Leonard is definitely looking a bit more alert - spending longer with his eyes open and looking at things around him. When he is at his brightest, apparently he's been able to squeeze hands and look at things on command. All of which is excellent progress. On the other hand, it's clear that his rehabilitation is going to take a long time - and we're probably talking months here. He's still not able to communicate, and hasn't shown much sign of recognising family or responding to comments. I've been reading all of your messages, cards and comments to him, of course.
He was moved out of the ICU and onto a ward (still at the Walton Centre) yesterday evening - which is definitely a step in the right direction, but it's going to be a long path."
This is from his mother, on his page, yesterday, I think it was.

Wingman: "Roger, It's 1:30 now, what do I do 'til then?"

Once he's home, fire up aces high and select the base where the action is.

The range chat may trigger something positive.

From his mother, today: "Leonard is much the same this week as last - appearing reasonably alert when he's awake, but spending most of the time asleep, and still not able to speak or communicate/react significantly to his surroundings. He has clear difficulties with motor control, especially on his more badly injured right hand side. Other than that, it's kind of hard to add anything to what I said before - he's progressing, but slowly."
Flight Leader: "Bogeys at 2 o'clock!"
Wingman: "Roger, It's 1:30 now, what do I do 'til then?"
