My trusty Yak has that lived in feeling.........there is the odd mark on the dash where it gets a bit worn, the odd chip on the cockpit sill where I climb in and out, even a bit of dirt in the air bottle gauge knob. My cockpit is a bit crazed and refracts the light to give spectacular effect.
But my gauges are mint!.........it doesn't matter how hard I tap them they never crack. The oil off my gloves never accumulates near the rim and every time I get in they are perfectly polished to a near mirror finish with not a mark or scratch on them.
Wish the elves would clean the rest of the cockpit as thoroughly.
