Stratojet Gladiator Pro Issues
« on: September 17, 2016, 08:10:49 AM »
I received my Gladiator Pro Friday last week, after prepaying and waiting months for it.  It went dead overnight so I contacted Jason with Stratojet. I explained what it was doing and asked him what he wanted me to do? He said he didn't know what to do but would contact VKB for advice. Waited days but got no reply so I messaged him that I would fix it myself if they could send me the parts. He replied that was a possibility but then never followed up on it. I just went ahead and sent it back to him. He will not relpy back after several attempts to reach him. He finally just say my warranty is void because I sticky backed a rubber grommet on the stick hat "like I do with all my stick 'Warthog and Thrustmaster' to help with grab. There is no way that effects the sticks electronics. Hes just fishing for an excuse because he has no spare parts or knows what to do with defective items. Its a sad thing when companies do business like this. I asked for the stick back and I will contact VKB directly. I have their pedals and have always bragged about them. I believe in supporting American Businesses and thought this was going to be a good one, but I was wrong and no one should support them. They are dishonest and should not be allowed to treat other people this way. I can see Jason now taking his knee when he hears the National Anthem played

I have always thought of him as a meet-and-greet kind of guy. He is not what I would call tech educated, but certainly not someone I think would drop the ball like that. Maybe they are just having a hard time getting some bench workers together?

You do know this is the guy behind Rise of Flight and Battle of Stalingrad here in America, right?

Yes I read about him so that's why its sad. I guess he will have to learn how to deal with consumers eventually. What he is doing to me is wrong and dishonest.

Those sticks look like they are built like a Tiger tank, so if they break that quick it has to poorly assembled electronics? If that's the case even if they sent new parts it would be unlikely to improve. Now that's sad.

Sounds like a few people jumped on the band wagon a bit early about these sticks.  Many posts in here about their unreliability.

Just did a forum search and there really aren't.

That post is ambiguous at best, have to scroll back two more of Pollock's posts on a previous page to even infer that he was talking about a VKB stick of some type.  And I don't see any others at all.

Stratojet 'Jason" sent me an email saying the Technician said I had opened up the unit and modified it so that is why they voided my warranty. Because I replied with some pretty harsh accusations 'I was Pissed' that I only glued on a rubber grommet on the end of the Hat and it could not have affected the electronics, he looked at it again and says they made a mistake and I did not open it up so my warranty is not voided. They say they will send me a new unit Today. Sorry for the Ranting I did earlier I was really mad and was posting all over lol. Now if the send me a new unit I have to go back on all the Forums and fix it. lol

Then you're not looking Pollock said "  I had to send it back some buttons weren't working." That was right out of the box.  He's a squad mate.

Got a replacement stick last week. This one works except it does not detect my VKB rudders when hooked up to it. They keep asking me to calibrate in different programs but does not work. It cant calibrate the pedals when it cant detect them. The handle needs more than one multi point hat and even with that one u cant use easily unless u extend it out.

I think you need two different programs for the Gladiator Pro and T-Rudders.  I believe the software for the Gladiator Pro that you need is the WIZZO Utility and for the pedals, you need the Blackbox Controller software.
