Mouse in VR/Rift
« on: September 17, 2016, 06:46:20 PM »
Not sure if I'm missing a setting or doing something wrong - past versions I could control the mouse/cursor with the desktop mouse using the Rift, but now I can only use the "VR Dot" and my head to move the cursor/dot in game, I can use the mouse left click still, but not the mouse itself.  Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?  Or does it have to work this way now with the Rift.

I think that's just the way it works. Once you get used to it it's not bad. The problem with the mouse is figuring out where it sits in the 3D space, some text options sit in different depth planes (e.g. radio bar is behind the clipboard).

My problem is the clipboard is impossible to grab and move as it stands.  The little dot disappears as soon as you move upwards into the map area of the clipboard, and the little white dot is just.,..gone..and I can't grab the top buttons/controls on the map to enlarge/shrink it, or move it.  So it's stuck in a really ackward place in every aircraft right now.  I've tried the cntrl+f4 in the tower, in the plane, pretty much everything I can think of to get it to move, anywhere, but no luck.

The VR with the thumb hat works fantastic right now, able to dogfight just like having TrackIR for the most part ATM.  I just can't use anything map related due to it being more or less stuck in one place.  Sure looks amazing right now.
