190F8
« on: September 21, 2016, 11:53:37 AM »
Even though I am flying allied I can't believe no one is registered or thinking about flying an FW190F8.

I've had opportunity in special events to fly this bird.  One scenario under fencers command.

They are a deadly combination of Jabo and fighter.  We would fly them to our target, complete our mission and go hunting.

We decimated bomber formations high and low and did the twisting a turning stuff on the deck against fighters.

One must keep all the energy you can, it just is a wonderful aircraft.

Pity..........I guess not many in Aces High have used them.  They are a formidable dual purpose aircraft!

I flew the F-8's in the last scenario....

But I do not think Brooke wants to talk about that...

But yes  it is a great aircraft and I would be in them if I was not leading the A-5s

Hajo, I remember flying with you in Krupps Steel. That 1st frame our 190F8's did some damage. I looked at the old logs, our group had 27 A2A kills in that 1st frame. And a bunch of ground targets destroyed!

Brings back some fond memories my friend. Looking forward to flying with you in this upcoming scenario.  :salute

I had an A-8 in that one - was a good scenario.

...and the 190F-8 is indeed a lot of fun and fully capable.  Have had great success in it.

I never thought I was going to have as much fun as I did only attacking. It was at time a nail biting white knuckle ride. I very much enjoyed it and like I said if I was not already committed to A-5s I would do it again..

It packs a punch with bombs and with guns....

We are still a couple guys short for F-8s... It will be fun for anyone who signs up to fly them
