CIC Planning Question

Do you base your plane minimum/maximum plane requirements on the squad minimum/maximum commitment levels?  :headscratch:

I do it that way.

So say I need a min 12 of xxxx fighter.    If I have a 11-15 squad I assign them that ride.  Or maybe 2 squads of 7-10.

However if there is a max #  of 12, I assign split rides as to not go over the max number.

That is the best you can do.   Cic simply cannot control actual numbers flying on a given Friday night.

Depends on if you want exactly the bare minimum/maximum of that particular airplane, or if you are fine with an amount that meets the requirement.

For example: if a I have to fill a minimum of 12 of a poor performing plane, I will usually split that minimum across multiple squads and tell them exactly how many to take. Same for an aircraft with a maximum.

Re plan min-maxs. Don't drive yourself crazy with it. We are looking for a "best guess" from the CiC. We get that #s can vary just make an honest effort out of it is all we ask.

If it is a minimum number I ensure I assign a specific number a squad must meet based on their minimum numbers.  As long as there isn't a max...

If there is a max number of rides I assign the max a squad can take and give them a split ride.  That prevents anyone going over based on orders.

As a CiC it is all you can do.  The FSO Squad COs are REALLY good at enforcing within their squads.
