I there a way to squelch individuals on Channel 200, or to squelch the entire channel?

Yes. Easy. Go to the comms box into which '200' is entered and then enter a different number and press return. You can surpress other channels and individuals with:-

.squelch 1    .unsquelch 1

I think there's an  .unsquelch all command but I can't remember it now.

Or you can right click the tabs and choose edit settings and tick and untick what you like. You can even create new tabs depending on mood and activity. I have one names 'Peace'  :rofl

the .squelch <name> command mutes a person on all channels. Another option is to opt out the entire channel from the view. When you move your cursor to the upper frame of the text buffer, you'll see tabs and right clicking on the bar gives you options to choose from.

Plus what nrshida said.

I've got an older system by today's standards that still runs the game well by my standards.

You can also find the intended player you want to squelch in the roster.  Left click to highlight player, then right click to choose your options for dealing with the chosen player.

It looks like 1 and 200 are both on the same check box.  I you uncheck the 1 & 200 box will you still receive salutes?

Yes.  You have to either squelch system or filter out system in order to stop seeing <salute> messages.
