Tried squealing and singing, at first I could hit almost 1k but then it stayed in the 250-ish no matter how I squeaked.

Don't know how reliable that analyzer is but it's going to be limited by your mic. I might have to compare my various headset mics with each other and my Blue Yeti.

I am quite sure my SAMSON G Track Pro sounds better than any of my headset mics. Although a couple of the headset mics are pretty darn good.
