It is with great regret that I have been informed that Don "Grizzly" Jacobson passed away Saturday the 22nd day of October 2016.

This was posted to his facebook.

"Hello everyone. This is Don's son Todd posting this. With much sadness I have to announce my dad Don passed away yesterday evening. He fought a hard battle with cancer and the cancer along with its complications took my dad at 5:33 pm last night. I personally am devastated and feel like I've lost the best friend I've ever had. He was such a good man. Right to the very end he was more concerned about how I was going to be than his own perilous situation. I will forever be grateful and miss him. I wanted to let you know so nobody would be wondering where he went. He's with God almighty now. I love you Pops."

My condolences to the family and this community.

Not many of us get to be legends in our own time.  For Bigweekers, at least, the Grizz was.
