My petite freezes seem to have completely gone away as well, although roughly simultaneously with the latest game update I upgraded to a new 1440p monitor.  Am consistently running the DX 11 version with 0 issues now.

I spoke too soon about my freezes going away...., although mine are only a minor annoyance. But in case this provides a useful clue I'm wondering if some of these issues are map specific.  For example I tried 3 times to get into Pearl Harbor this evening, all 3 times there seemed to be some strange flashy bright lines outside the tower, and all 3 times AH3 crashed before I could finish reading the opening message about the event.  Twice in DX11 version, and once in DX9 version.  I tried rebooting machine, no difference.  Flew in the Melee arena before and after without difficulty, so the only thing that seemed different to me was the map.  Am attaching a Dxdiag file in case it is useful.  I tried to attach the dump files, but the site seemed to reject the upload.   Hope this helps!

Mine too, although there may be something going on with my system. I'm going to do a general tear-down and rebuild tomorrow. It's time for new thermal grease, and replacement fans.

A few hours ago I got a kernel-power lockup and forced sleep mode, which was interesting. The dmp file indicated a fault in USBHUB3.sys (above my paygrade).

OK, don't know if this has a bearing but after the patch today loads of freezes, checked my task manager, stopped the Adobe update service, tab back into game, not one freeze! Now, hopefully it is the patch that has sorted it and it was just settling down, but I have stopped Adobe update service from starting so i will investigate further and report back.

sorry worth mentioning after patch I manually cleared the users\appdata\local\temp so that might have been why my stutters happened as adobe tried to update but I stopped the service and not one freeze as I said.

I usually open the CC update app and check for updates before I log in. Update. Then I start up Razer Cortex and close all those background apps. I also have Spybot Anti-Beacon, which does an excellent job of preventing telemetry.

I don't know if this latest update got rid of my petit freeze (I thought it was gone before, but then it returned), but I did discover that a webcam was causing an issue with the USBHUB3.sys (and possibly the Kernel also). The steps I took were to remove my sound card (because of a possible issue between it and Nvidia GPUs on my motherboard), install a USB sound card (Sound Blaster Surround 5.1 USB), remove a Microsoft webcam (Windows 10 hates webcams, even their own), replaced all internal cooling fans, reseated the processor, replaced all SATA cables, and moved AH3 to an SSD (disk benchmarking showed the drive I was using may have had write issues).

Tonight my system is running 6C cooler with zero petit freezes.

This one:

Skuzzy had mentioned that they do 3D positioning on the video card, and some other users had said they get sound from vehicles spot on even when not using a 3D positioning card. So, either one of these will work from what I can tell. The one I pointed to does have lower SNR (more noise), so something to be aware of. The audio sounds identical to the ZxR and I think I have fairly discerning ears.

<KNOCK ON WOOD>

I haven't noticed any stutters or micro freezes since last update.  However, during FSO (or maybe in the MA) I noticed very bad shadow flashes and texture skipping (best way I can explain it).  Especially in external view, it looks like the plane texture like jumps or something.  The cloud shadows kind of warp too.  They like, flicker.

In FSO last night I saw the flashes too. I don't know if it's something to do with the sunlight thru the high clouds or what.

I had no micro stutters but did get a hard lock requiring a reset.

I flew for a while afterwards in the main arena without issue.

If you turn shadows off the flickers go away. I have been able to minimize their appearance by minimizing processes, turning AV off, and overclocking the GPU and VRAM. That does not fix it, but minimizes the flicker.
