We had our first squad night last night in the AvA. The mission went relatively smoothly and no pilots were lost.
We have 12 slots and most are filled, but we have room for more, as all pilots are not likely to be on duty every Tuesday night.
To add some immersion, we have a website and we post story lines to give it a bit of a role playing aspect.
Check out last nights after action report and while you are there poke around a bit. Read the "about" and "story line" pages.
Currently only an allied squad is organized but if you want to fly axis the arena is open and you can come in go to the staged mission populate screen and take over an AI slot.
You will want to be there a little early because while you are supposed to be able to join a mission in progress, that doesn't always work.
Of course, you can always come in and play as you normally would.
