Fighter Attack scoring

I realized last night I never look at the hanger tab "Attack".

Since we have these tabs HTC could hopefully could make it so if you selected as an example, a P-38L from the Fighter tab, it would score Fighter.   If you selected the P-38L from the Attack list it would score as Attack.

Maybe too this would be that you could only get ords in the Attack list and if ords were down the Attack tab would be grayed out along with the bomber tab instead of the annoying set of pop ups.

Maybe too, the Fighter, Attack, Bomber and Vehicle tabs could become your favorites to be populated from the All list.

If it can be individually configured, fine.  All those extra tabs confuse us old men.  I am fine with the button....  Simple, easy...

That is the idea to have your own Attack, Fighter, Bomber and vehicle tab filled with your own favorites.  The Tabs would be empty till you populated from the All tab.  My Favorite tab now is quite long.  Having my own Attack, Fighter, Bomber and vehicle tabs would help sort these out.  As an example I might have a P-38L in my Fighter tab and a P-38L in my Attack Tab.

So i am not saying more tabs just making better use of the ones we have.

   really? didna know it was so hard to select fighter/attack when you want to fight planes or bomb gv's. if I read this right, you want a separate list of planes, 1 fighter only and 1 for attack only-whats next 1 for light bomber and 1 for heavy bomber--a list for perk tanks and 1 for unperked tanks.
or a extra favorites list for to list attack planes only...
if htc was to grant you one wish-and you know it would be granted-this is what you would wish for?

Not asking for new tabs just make the tabs we have more useful and making our Favorite list a little more controllable..  Makes sense to me anyway.

Keep in mind the wish list is not a demand for change but suggestions to enhance the game.  If HTC never implanted this wish in any form or fashion, it would not stick in my craw.

With AH3, a number of wishes in part or in whole have been incorporated.  I am sure HTC reads them.  Some they may like some not.

Think of a tab you could add aircraft to.  You would be able to configure the loadout, convergence maybe, fuel etc and save that configuration in that tab.  In another tab you could have the same A/C with an entirely different load out.  You might label one tab "attack" the other "fighter".  This way you if you were a fan of the P-38, you wouldn't have to reconfigure it for each flight when your mission changes.

If a plane has ords on it it should be scored as attack...you can rocket vulch and get scored as Fighter.

Pretty much. You carried it a bit further than I envisioned.  Interesting thoughts. 

I had suggested using the tabs that are there now but let them be populated by the player.  As an example,  my Attack tab might have just have three planes in the list like a P-38L, P-47D40 and an F4U1D.  All these would have some form of bombs and rocket configuration.  My Fighter Tab might also have a P-38L and other fighters but it would have no ords and a different fuel load.  The Vehicle tab might just have a Panther and a M4 just as an example.  You could still select from the All tab if you want.

Bottom line the tabs like Attack are under utilized since they nearly duplicate the Fighter tab.  Second, if you take advantage of all the play options in AH3, your Favorite list might be quite long.

This is already the way it works, since once you finish a sortie the aircraft stays like it is configured (until you change it). If you change it, then you know the role you are taking on and can then choose from fighter or attack. I fell into the same trap as you are now, by trying to force the game to change and make up for my mistakes. If this gets put into place you will just ask for more changes for whatever problem you run into next time, yet here we have a system that works if only you adjust to it.

Semp that is one reason for the wish.  Nobody uses all the tabs.  The other tabs would be your favorites but if the Favorites tab remained I would guess what ever put there would be still be configured as you want.
