You actually played it? Whoa! So who was the other person who did? 
*shamefully raises hand* Yeah. It was my "buying into hype can lead to massive disappointment" lesson in life. Right up there with what I'd imagine kids used to go through with Sea Monkeys.
Worse yet... I beat it. Same with Duke Nukem Forever.
Daikatana and Duke Nukem Forever weren't exactly the worst games I ever played, but hands down they were a couple of the biggest disappointments.
Actual worst game? Tough call. The one that jumps out in my mind I can't remember the title of. It was some kind of PS1/2 combat car racing game where the voiceovers on the cutscenes sounded like what a particularly dim 8 year old from rural Michigan thought black people sound like. The gameplay was generic and forgettable, but the cutscenes were just actively painful to sit through.
