Channel 1 needs to be turned off

It's not tuned in but that means if someone sends a salute I won't see it, and I try be courteous and send those back.

What he said.   I tried it early in AH3 and found out first hand.

Please get rid of all channel ASAP.

Mouse over your chat window.
Right click on the "all" tab or right click in the space at the top and click "add tab"
Right click on the tab you want to edit, uncheck "1 and 200".
Click Ok.

Easy, when a person has ch 1 detuned don't block the .s name type salutes.  So <S> type text salutes would be lost but "automatic" .s name ones wouldn't.  Or is that the way it works now?  (I have ch 1 blocked and never get salutes, but then I never do anything worthy of a salute, so what do I know.)  I know there is a similar problem for people who don't want to listen to the base warning audio and block "Warnings": they lose audio check six warnings.

There is an arena setting that will allow (or prevent) players from typing on channel 1 (the "all" channel). Even if ch1 is disabled, it still allows system messages like salutes to be sent. I'm not sure why HTC decided to enable it for players.
