This is me running away.

Dropped on a spit at about the 11 minute mark.  Ran out of bullets and simply nosed down to the base which was very close.  It seems this is called running to ack to protect score. <sigh>

I'll be honest I've griped about folks running for home but we have no idea what has happened to the enemy pilot so I always have to take a step back and go what would I have done? Also until that cat is sitting in your plane they can't call a thing.

First, have fun playing.
Second, do not let the opinions of strangers on the web matter. If you are having trouble with this, turn 200 off and squelch those that try to evoke a response from you. They'll get over it.

I get mad at runners sometimes if it seems to be happening consistently but that's not their problem, it is mine. Every player and side enjoys the high horse when the cards are up but boy do they call foul when the tables are turned.

Fly to the best of your abilities and improve as you go
