Once again Saitek rudders
« on: January 31, 2017, 06:23:46 PM »
They arent bad rudders but they are good for 3 to 5 years max. Now my left toe brake control on my rudder set is stuck at 100% when I touch it. The rudders are actually still working but I dont know how long that will last. So far my work around is to set both brakes to my right toe and just rudder more when I want to taxi.

Ive heard of this as bugs in other game but never in this one. I took it apart today but didnt see nothing loose. I just wonder if anyone has had this issue before and if theres a fix other then buying new rudders. Thanks

Hmmm, this is odd. I start up the computer, or disconnect the rudders, and in Saitek controller I see 50/50 left/right toe. Now if I step on the right toe the left toe input goes all the way 100% and stays there. if I step on the left toe it does the same. Now in the game controller I get no input whatsoever from the left toe.

So Im getting input in Saitek and its just sticking. In Aces High Im not getting anything. Im just wondering if this is a USB issue here. If the rudder toe was bad why am I getting ANY kind of inpute in the Saitek controller?

I have powered Hubs. I also have, for once, found my receipt for the things, "usually I cant find it and have to buy another". They are only 3 years old and apparently Logic tech bought our Saitek so now Im trying to get them to honor the warranty.

Guys anytime you buy anything save the receipts, I have a bad habit of losing them.

Actually the receipt says I bought them in Aug. 2014 and I started having this problem 3 or 4 months ago but it self corrected itself and I never bothered to contact Saitek, who apparently has been bought out by Logitech and they are now telling me the 5 year warranty I thought I had is actually 2 year and they are wriggling out of replacing them. So like all stuff "made in America" they broke probably 15 days after the warranty expired and I'll be stuck with another broken pair of Saitek rudders. I have a ton of $$ invested in both companies thru the years and you'll probably hear my profanity Laced scream if they dont replace them. My X52 is starting to go too and when it does I'll have to make the decision whether to stay in flight gaming or not.

Im on a fixed income now, no more big OT checks, and I dont think I play enough to justify such an investment. I have an entire Logitech racing setup sitting here unused and will probably sell that off.
