The viewer has nothing to reflect off the surface so it may appear brighter in the viewer.

Just remember this.  If you do not supply a power and environment map, the graphic engine will use your specular map as the specular and power maps and then use .8 of that for the environment map.

Good to know.  I may try that just to see how it looks.   I am totally flying blind with the settings for those other two maps.

That is why I did the B29 skin.  It shows a working example of how the specular, power, and environment maps work together.

This morning we have made power (_P.bmp) and environment (_E.bmp) maps required for the following planes:

P51B and D, B17, B29, and all P38's.
