Are there truck convoys running in the MA?

Yesterday I was in an M3 heading toward a prepped town when I encountered one of the grey HTC Motors flatbed trucks (you can see it in the hangar) sitting stopped, out in the middle of nowhere.  I drove around it once, then stopped and stitched it good with Ma Deuce, until it exploded and disappeared - then I got credit for a Truck convoy kill in the text buffer.

So are there truck convoys operating in the MA now?  Any idea why this lone truck was stopped out in the open?

I too have seen them on some of the maps.
when HiTech was on Thursday he was asked when truck convoys and trains were going to be added he said when he writes them--I suppose he meant writes the code form them to work

During the alpha\beta he said he had not decided on how he wanted them to work yet. Seems he is still undecided on that feature.

So are the trucks people are seeing just static objects that designers added to their terrain?

Artifacts from converting an AH2 to AH3 with no road or rails system active.

Unless the guy who updates an AH2 terrain catches them, the trucks, trains and barges transfer over from the earlier version of the terrain. But since the roads, tracks and rivers are not yet active, the objects just sit in the terrain waiting to be found. Call it an easter egg.

Hopefully the new ones won't be able to run a Tiger II off the road and flip it.
