I vote HOAX. Hollywood can produce some amazing chit, nowadays. As long as we've known of the existence of the Nazca lines, it was only a matter of time before some jokester planted something like this. Just my 2 cents.

I think any civilization who has advanced far enough to make interstellar travel a reality is going to be too smart to want to land on this rock.

i disagree, it seems like a good idea to develop capability for intergalactic travel, fly to Earth, mess w some farmers crop, maybe kidnap someone and probe his *ss. And why not leave a guy behind?
