Moved to Tennessee - who all we still got around here?
« on: July 03, 2017, 06:49:42 PM »
As the title suggests I've moved to Tennessee (Knoxville) I know we had a couple in the Smokey mountains but I've been away from the game and busy with life lately so I've no real clue who might be here now. Hopefully life will settle down for me soon and I can get back to flying.

Let's see who might be in my new neck of the woods. Cheers

The other better half and I are talking retirement move... out of the great corrupt state of Illinois
TN is a continuing brought up subject, especially after seeing 120 degree days in AZ on the news...

Would TN be a recommended state for the move - and where in that state is considered stable retirement potential?
All thoughts and comments welcomed :)

Oh you lucky fargin' bastages, you can choose between anything from Alaska to California to Florida to Hawaii without any nationality/language issues! My options would fit twice into the area of the state of Texas, the weather conditions varying from less to more snow and frost. Anything warmer would require either a language I don't know or a version of badly spoken simplified English.

I've learned there's been a bunch of good musicians in 10SC to accompany boozing. That's always a bonus.

I have a feeling that the language and nationality issues would be the same there as well as in any US state. Lake Worth area in Florida might be the best choice concerning the language issue...

I lived in Millington for a year and that has turned into a cesspool ... stay in the Knoxville area and away from the Memphis area.. Though I did love living in the great state of NH for most of my life..
