Nice Mustangs guys. We had a GT500 for a summer driving season a few years back, before my GF traded it on her GTR. Now that the GTR is getting to be 7 years old she's been looking at new cars, including the new Mustangs, particularly the 350. The last couple gens of Mustangs have been excellent IMO, from 2005 forward, really great cars for the $ depending on what you're doing and like. Nice to hear about the long term reliability and longevity you guys are having with your Mustangs.
I remember the good old days in high school of the Mustang GT everyone wanted, mighty 210ish HP, which now the 4cyl turbos blow away. Even with GM, my 97 and 2002 LT1 and LS1 Firebird and Camaro, their HP back then is outmatched by the V6 put into the rental car versions of the Camaro, big time. Car tech is crazy now, and not just the HP, but the transmissions and chassis tech - dual clutch and CV trans, they are just nuts now.
We looked at the new Corvette Z51 and a Z06, and then the 350 (no R, the dealer can't get any, and there are only a few used 350R up here right now) - the Ford sound is amazing, better than any of the other cars IMO, Camaro, Vette, everything. Only car that came close IMO was the Jaguar V8.
This is the only 350R we can find in Alberta right now, and the seller is willing to come down a bit in $ as they want to move it, and if GF gets a good offer on her GTR, this might be coming home. It's essentially new, less than 700 miles on it.
