Stuttering when running Aceshigh11 application
« on: July 26, 2017, 07:41:22 AM »
I can run Aceshigh9 but when I try to run Aceshigh11 I get stuttering. I would like to run the 11 so I can use my Occulus Rift headset sometimes. I have a GTX1070 Card, any ideas what causing this?

You should not get any stutters when using the Oculus at all.  If you are, then something else is happening outside the application to cause it.

There is a stutter/pause issue with the DX11 version which not using the Oculus.  We are not the only game company who has encountered this problem and it has been quite elusive to catch.

Yep, Skuzzy nailed it! Now to figure out how he did it :x In non VR I get some stutters, but in Vr not near as often nor significant duration. In VR it almost like having to concentrate way hard, to even realize a stutter happened. Not sure as to why in VR it isnt as prevalent in DX11 regular? Maybe a POWER MANAGEMENT thing? I know that the Touch controllers net to have MAX power as default unless you like some issues?

We think it could be a resource issue, where we are getting ahead of some video card resource.  Unfortunately, that is a nightmare to debug as we do not have direct access to the video card to be able to verify it.
