Existing user. New Oculus. Unable to login
« on: August 21, 2017, 04:36:06 PM »
So it's an existing user that now has a second machine.
Oculus and Oculus version of  Aces High (installed through lobby) are both newly installed on the second machine.

Account is NOT linked in/to Oculus. (selected no when it asked)

When he fires up Aces high and tries to get into Melee it asks him to create an account, but never offers to let him just login with the account he already has.

i'd asked him to move his login.config from his old machine over but, i think now with the new linked-to-oculus account system it no longer reads the login.cfg file?

Either way, the only option he's seeing is to create an account. No login.
What needs to happen to let Aces High know he has an existing account he'd just like to login with? One that's not connected to Oculus.
But is the Oculus version of Aces High.

Also, he did try to put his current information into the GameID box and it told him that it's already in use so he wasn't able to just use that box to just login.
It definitely thinks he needs to create an account with unique information.

He can just download AH from our we sight, and run DX11 version. It will simply prompt if he wishes to run oculus and log in like normal.

TBH because i misspelled in the oculus account and didn't want to have to fix two things later. Seems it was a bit of a deeper hole though.
appreciate the help!

Kanth, could you walk me through the thought process which lead to a "No" answer to the question?  I am a bit confused about it.

I didn't want them closely coupled in case i had to yank one (the oculus software) out and reinstall it, i didn't want it effecting the other one.
