I dread the day all fish will unite against us.
Then you will look back on this day and regret that you did not play AH instead...

Nice pics ! already cooked from lakes sitting on Yellowstone super volcano. :)
My favorite state to drive my 18 wheeler, it has a western movie flavor, ranches, bars, the landscapes  exactly as i imagined America watching western movies in "70-80s;  Peaceful relaxing driving on I-25/80,  not too many humans to watch for,  but gets messy during winter and dangerous winds.

I would not eat any of those fish you don't know where they have been! :old:

If they don't come out of a tin or supermarket you cannot be sure! :old:

You can't know for sure of that either because you don't know where they came from before the can or supermarket.

That lake sits at 11k feet so the fish don't get particularly big, but there are lots of them. There are several back country lakes that still contain the native cut throat troat and they can run 5 pounds. The brown was roughly 3 pounds, the Brookies were small. I was more or less screwing around. There are several rivers and lakes down in the Laramie valley that hold some large trout. Lake Hattie has Browns and Bows up to 10#s, I have caught a 6# Bow in the little Laramie river, and the big Laramie river has a crap ton of trout between 12 and 18 inches. The best trout fishing in Wyoming is in the North west portion of the state. The North and South fork of the Shoshone river, the Greybull river, the snake river, the Greys river drainage, and the Clarks fork of the Yellowstone to name a few.

Golden trout are indigenous to the sierras. There are a hand full of remote alpine lakes in the Rockies that golden trout were introduced in the 30s that managed to sustain the population with out constant stocking. Upper gap lake which is 4 mile beyond the lake in the picture has Goldens. The fish in question is a German Brown Trout.

I suspected German infiltration in all this.

You can't know for sure of that either because you don't know where they came from before the can or supermarket.

They are made by a machine and then shaped into fish shapes :old:
