WW1 aircraft
« on: December 04, 2017, 09:33:34 AM »
The following are a list of aircraft I would like to see added to the WW1 arena. SE5A, Spad, Fokker D3A and the Sopwith pup.

Why?

Last thing WW1 needs are idiots in F2Bs on the ground playing man ack heros.
Barney Style. If see F2Bs on the ground shooting the tail gun, it gives me the compulsion to vulch. Since AC on the ground lack icons, the vulching becomes indiscriminate.

The plane lineup from the old Red Baron seems to me a good place to start.  Just add all of that. :)

Wiley.
If you think you are having a 1v1 in the Main Arena, your SA has failed you.

Sounds like a problem with you, not a problem with the game.

As per people sitting on the field in a F2B shooting aircraft as they fly by from the rear gun well that takes away from the idea of not vulching aircraft taking off and landing. I can personally tell you that Saturday night that I was shot down by Cybro who was doing just that. And typical of Cybro that is all he did that night. He never flew just sat there in a F2B right next to the hangar in the tail gun shooting everything that flew by. That was irritating as hell.

The Albatross D.III, IV or V should be included since most of the Red Baron's kill's were in the Albatross. She was a good looking bird also.

This is the kind of thing Hitech has been known to add something to expand on a theme more than the irritation you have right now. I watched one of those rear gunner Limy wirbles save two players from being vulched on take off. Seemed like a good thing that player was doing for his side. When the WW1 arena was first released, several guys would land and play wirble nest right near the flight path of the enemy field. So we would fly at them from their front and kill them while they were parked. Last weekend when I was in the WW1 arena a hoard was mowing the grass for us with their props on the field while vulching us at grass top level. So this whine can't be about wanting any kind of a fair fight can it.....

Yes, please disable the f2b rear gun from shooting while on the ground.

I was in there too and saw this. It was cybro and another.

They were taxiing up to the hanger so the nose was right up to it. The building protected the f2b where the rear gun can't cover.

Yeah, if this is an issue, HTC should just make it like it is with the rest of the planes, cannot use your gunners while on the ground.  I recall someone mention that at one point it was a major issue in the MA, where folks would spawn in 17's/24's and sit on the runway acting as "ack".
