Yes, please disable the f2b rear gun from shooting while on the ground.

I was in there too and saw this. It was cybro and another.

They were taxiing up to the hanger so the nose was right up to it. The building protected the f2b where the rear gun can't cover.

There are two ways to deal with this that don't involve changing the game.

You can avoid enemy airfields.

You can attack from two sides at the same time.

If you want to change the game add recon and bombing. Recon led to air battles. Recon and bombing don't require waiting for another player but a player in the arena draws more players.

The old distances between feilds and the slow speeds of the WW1 planes made it boring coupled with how dangerous the active ack was at feilds when you finally got to them. So the distances were shortened and the auto ack removed in an effort to facilitate combat. Now it facilitates the real game most fly planes for in the MA, vulching at any cost with the same cry for Hitech to remove all anti air guns, AI or manned.

Seems like machine gun pits surrounding each field are in order or at least AI MG pits full of Aussies. After all haven't the WW1 fans sold everyone all these years on how much better and fair they are in the spirit of true air combat, unlike the MA. And now those evils are starting to show up in the WW1 arena. The WW1 arena today looks like air Quake Tourney in WW1 aircraft skins with the hoard vulching and grass mowing I witness every time I look in when there are more than 4 players. What I would expect if I placed airfields in the MA 10 miles apart or closer.

I wish  AH3 would enable rear gunners. on many planes.  An SBD rear gunner on the Old Enterprise CV during the battle of Corral Sea shot down a Jap bomber while sittimg on the flight deck when It was making an attack on the ship.  He was credited for  most likely saving the vessel.

The following are a list of aircraft I would like to see added to the WW1 arena. SE5A, Spad, Fokker D3A and the Sopwith pup.

I assume you meant the Pfalz D.IIIa? If that is the case, it would not fit in the current lineup. Pfalz D. XII would be a better fit. Which SPAD would you like? Pup is the same problem as the Pfalz, unless your specific wish is for earlier fighters.

If you want to keep the same time frame then you want the Pfalz D.XII, SPAD S.XIII and SE.5a. Might I suggest an Albatros D.Va? If you want the earlier stuff, then Pfalz D.IIIa, SPAD S.VIIc, and the Sopwith Pup. Might I suggest and Albatros D.III?

Fokker Scourge!
Eindekker, DH2, Bebe Neuport, maybe Albatross DII..

Oswald Boelcke's 3 gun E3 would be kinda cool!
And imagine the views from the seat of an Eindekker, wow!

Its hard to see HTC investing more time in WW1 planes when there the arena is so little used. Adding AI planes to a WW1 Axis vs Allies arena might gather some interest though. Have flights of two seaters and escorts bombing, observing and patrolling up and down the front line, some observation baloons to hit and so on. Have the number of AI flights generated biased in favour of the side with the lower player count. It would give a player something to do even if there are no other players in the arena.

I agree with that.
But then, the main reason why WWI died down so quickly after one month was the limited gameplay.
Of course, in this day and age it's too late to do anything about it.

With optional 'Dick Tracy Belly Gun Buckets' (and top gunner) auxiliary bomber configuration.
