Bush in bridge approach can stop a tank
« on: December 18, 2017, 12:49:37 PM »
I must start by saying sorry Skuzzy. The other day I was trying to take one of the bases where the map room is on the base, I believe it was number 84. It was located in the south eastern portion of the map.
As I was driving a T-34 there to deack the base I crossed the stone bridge and hit a small shrub in the center of the road and it stopped my tank dead in its tracks. This was on the newest map in rotation.

Im very sorry Skuzzy, I accidentally threw out my notes on this bug. I hope I provided enough information to find the bug.

Sorry, I tried to make sure all bridge ends were clear of trees poking through.

When I tested bridges I found that the end berms allowed trees painted on the terrain later to stick up and through the end berms. The berm did not become integrated to the surface it was placed on even though the surface painted clutter showed through on the berm surface. I also found that the reduced area from the tip of limbs and their foliage area that has been reduced so you would have fewer tree branch collisions with tanks, seems to not be in play with those tree tops sticking up through the bridge berms. To clear those out HTC would have to repaint 1\8 mile of terrain around the end of that bridge with something else.

This is like the old joke that voters are harsher to their beer brewer if he has an outage, than their politicians after raising their taxes. Death and taxes are certain but, fun and sex is only now.
