Up this week: Death Throes: Germany December 1944

December 1944
Germany is in full retreat.  With the Red Army just outside of Warsaw, and having captured Budapest the past week, the Red Army is now hammering Panzer divisions though still struggles against the Luftwaffe.  Luftwaffe Eastern front pilots kills number in the thousands against the Red Air Force but now it's a numbers game - even with a 10 to 1 ratio, the USSR is able to mass produce LA-7 and Yak-3 fighters in a 50 to 1 ratio. With the Allied forces lending huge quantities of fuel, raw materials and munitions through northern ports, the Red Army has captured all previously occupied Ukraine and Belorussia right up the the former borders of Poland.

What the American, British, and Commonwealth forces don't know, the Stalin has no interest to release these countries back to their previous states once the war is over.
