Star Wars is the first space series we enjoyed as kids where there was awesome action scenes, cool light sabre fights, and interesting plot lines. 

Star Trek was the adult sci-fi series where they got into deeper topics and plot lines where humanity discussions occurred.  It was about investigating issues that often mirrored current political or philosophical situations. Using science or philosophy to help solve the problems. 


Where in Star Wars, ya just shoot the guy under the table.

Star Trek.  Star Wars has its own philosophical moments, but they're in the form of sound bites, not a full 42 minutes to go on about it, such as when you have a TV show.

Picard is the most interesting and (most well acted) character. Worf underwent the most character development, mostly due to being in more episodes than anyone else.

Also, the movies for Star Trek didn't sully the memory of the original shows, unlike Star Wars.

I searched for but could not find any Trek vs Wars rap battles :(
